OnTrack offers interactive, engaging, and impactful programming to help our community’s youth develop a strong understanding of financial basics, impart the reality of money in our lives, and teach youth how to save, spend, and plan for their futures.

Target Age: Kindergarten – Third Grade
Program length: 45 minutes
A high-energy and interactive program providing basic financial education to kindergarten through third graders. DIME-a-saurus is the OnTrack multi-colored dinosaur who teaches children about the value of money, the difference between “wants” and “needs,” and the importance of saving. Target Age: High School Students
Program length : 2.5 hours
A fun, interactive program educating high school students on real-life financial management skills. In Mad City Money, students assume a new identity with a career, family, and financial responsibilities. Volunteer “merchants” staff tables where students must make choices about spending and saving. Students experience budgeting, decision making, and have the opportunity to make wise financial choices or not! Mad City Money helps teenagers understand the importance of good money habits. Target Age: High School Students
Program length: 37 minutes
This introductory DVD presents students with first-hand about the dangers and pitfalls of using credit. The follow-up discussion provides further information to students about the reality of credit card usage and borrowing decisions.
Three Levels of Participation : Elementary, Middle, High School Students
Annually, the National Foundation for Credit Counseling challenges students nationally to create posters promoting the wise use of money and credit. OnTrack holds a regional contest for students in WNC with first, second, and third place prizes awarded in elementary, middle, and high school divisions.
